Frequently Asked Questions
American Red Cross Courses – Q1st Training & Development
1. How do I access my Red Cross course?
After completing your registration and payment, you will receive instructions for accessing your course through the American Red Cross Learning Center (for online or blended courses). Use the same email address you provided during checkout to create or log into your Red Cross account.
2. What is the difference between Online-Only and Blended Learning courses?
Online-Only Courses
These are completed entirely online through the Red Cross Learning Center (e.g., Bloodborne Pathogens).
Blended Learning Courses
These require two parts:
Completion of the online learning module
Attendance at an in-person skills session with a certified instructor
Both components must be completed to receive certification.
3. Do I need to create a Red Cross account?
Yes. If you do not already have an American Red Cross account, you will need to create one using the same email address used during registration.
4. When do I receive my certificate?
Certificates are issued directly by the American Red Cross upon successful completion of all required components.
For blended courses:
You must complete the online portion
Then successfully complete the in-person skills session
Certificates are available for download and printing from your Red Cross account.
5. How long do I have to complete my course?
Access timelines vary by course type. We recommend completing your course as soon as possible after enrollment to avoid expiration of online access.
For blended courses, the online portion must be completed before attending your scheduled skills session.
6. What happens if I do not complete the online portion before my skills session?
If the online module is not completed prior to your in-person session, you may be required to reschedule. Completion of the online portion is mandatory for blended certification.
7. What should I bring to my in-person skills session?
Please bring:
A valid photo ID
Confirmation of your completed online portion (if blended)
Comfortable clothing suitable for floor-based skills practice
8. What if I experience technical issues?
For issues related to the Red Cross Learning Center platform, please contact American Red Cross technical support directly through their website.
For enrollment, payment, or scheduling questions, contact Q1st Training & Development at support@quality1st.co.
9. Are refunds available?
Because course access and class seating are reserved at the time of registration, refund policies vary by course type. Please review course details prior to purchasing. If you have questions, contact us before enrolling.
10. Are these certifications nationally recognized?
Yes. All certifications issued are provided by the American Red Cross and are nationally recognized.
11. Is training OSHA compliant?
Where applicable, Red Cross courses meet OSHA and workplace safety standards. Please confirm with your employer regarding specific certification requirements.
